Compared to other airlines, Korean Airlines releases plenty of award space, meaning that you usually don't have to worry about finding award space if you're traveling with your family, making it very easy to book award space. Korean Airways allows you to have stopovers in Seoul, even for one way awards.

However, Korean Air does have some drawbacks. The first is that it only flies from a limited amount of cities in the continental US. It flies from the following cities:

Award space for two is readily available. However, if your party has more members, it's still best to search for award space individually. Let's say you're planning a vacation for four, but can't find award space. First, try splitting your award search down to two seats and then individually. If you still can't find award space, there might be space available but on different cabin classes or different flights.

Airplanes frequently release award seats around 330 days before a flight departs. Most would not plan this far ahead, but this is the best option to get guaranteed award space.
