I Hear You Voice tells the story of a cynical lawyer, Jang Hye Sung (Lee Bo Young), and a young man, Park Soo Ha (Lee Jong Suk), with the ability to read other people’s thoughts.  They were both part of the same terrible incident as children, but eventually separated.  Soo Ha spends his life in hopes of finding Hye Sung again and holds on to a fantasy of what she will be like in his mind. To his dismay, when he finds her she is completely opposite of what he had imagined.  But with a man from their past threatening her, Soo Ha is ready to protect Hye Sung no matter what it takes.

Overall, I Hear Your Voice is such a solid drama. The leads have great chemistry, which is something I’ve come to expect from any of Lee Jong Suk’s roles.

I

There are so many wonderful supporting characters including the naïve lawyer Cha Kwan Woo (Yoon Sang Hyun).  Although his character was very sweet, I never felt much chemistry between him and Hye Sung.  Their interactions were always fun to watch, but I was always rooting for Soo Ha.

This drama has a lot of dramatic elements to it, but it is never presented in a melodramatic way.  There are plenty of light and cute moments to balance things out.  The drama also tends to get better as it goes along, especially as the main story heats up.

Something I find interesting about this drama concerns Soo Ha’s ability to read thoughts.  It is an interesting ability that allows Soo Ha to understand people in ways a normal person can’t.  Despite the flavor it brings to the drama, it is never the sole focus.

I have actually noticed this is more common in Korean dramas than American TV shows.  I have seen several Korean dramas that include some sort of fantasy element that is used to give the show a unique premise rather than be the sole focus of the show.  I personally really enjoy this.  It adds a little spice to an otherwise common story, but still focuses more on the characters and their development.

Jang Hye Sung is actually Soo Ha's first love after she gave a decisive testimony on his father's murder case 10 years ago, and Soo Ha promised to protect her from the killer's threats. Meanwhile, Cha Kwan Woo is Jang Hye Sung's fellow lawyer, a cheerful and idealistic former cop. Even though his character is a bit slow, he is nice and pleasant with a firm idea of his principles and justice. Together they will team up to find justice in the courtroom and solve the toughest cases with less than a 1% chance of winning. (Source: DramaWiki) Edit Translation

When Blessings Keep Falling;: I Hear Your Voice

As I'm sure anyone reading the reviews for this drama can tell, many people are incredibly passionate about I Hear Your Voice... and with very good reason. Not only is the story really unique and well written, but the actors (ALL of them) have done such an amazing job that you don't see the actor anymore, just the character.

Nearly every episode flows perfectly and most left me in denial that I had to wait a week for the next set. However, that's the genius of the writer and, to her, I give props. This is the third drama/movie of hers that I've watched and I loved them all.

Watch

I have to put an entire paragraph here on the acting. I expected to see good acting from many of the cast members, most are very respected and experienced. What surprised me the most was the acting ability of Lee Jong Suk. I've recently watched School 2013 and knew the kid had talent, but I never would have guessed he was this good. He made me laugh at his goofiness, smile when he was happy, and just cry my eyes out when he hurt. No matter how well written a story may be, if you don't get the right actors, it will never work. This choice, for this role, could not have been any better. As much as his acting ability left me breathless, he wasn't the only standout. Several episodes I had to give the best acting award to Jung Woong In, Yoon Sang Hyun and Lee Da Hee. Both very experienced actors that pulled even more out of their bag of tricks in this drama. The versatility of all the main and supporting cast was excellent. FYI, Jung Woong In was made for evil roles! That man can be downright scary as hell.

I can tell you I will be watching this again and not only for the feel good moments. Just like owning your favorite books to re-read over and over, I'll be enjoying this drama for years to come.

This drama totally blew me away so much that I just have to give it a perfect 10 in all categories. I started the drama with little expectation as I basically watched it due to the plot synopsis which got me interested. I love dramas related to mystery and court cases.

I Hear Your Voice got me hooked right from day ONE due to its unique and original plot. There are quite a few cases in the drama, which is not surprising given its genre. However, the amazing part is how the scriptwriter manages to weave all these cases into a seamless drama comprises of elements of romance, comedy, suspense, thriller and friendship. There is never a single episode which is draggy and if not for my work commitment, I believe i could have marathon this show within 2 days.

Everyone acted superbly in the show and are truly lovable and realistic in their roles, even the villain has his own story (I won't reveal more on this though). The OSTs are excellent and catchy and they just make the whole experience of watching the drama even better.

I am sure I will rewatch this show in the future as it really warms your heart and makes your day. Give it a try and I am sure you won't regret the time spent, it is truly one of those rare breed among kdramas. So I just had a two-day binge of “I Hear Your Voice” on my laptop.  It is an 18-episode Korean rom-com series about public prosecutors fighting over legal cases aggravated by their own inherent tendencies brought on by their differing backgrounds and complicated histories.  Saying I really liked the experience would be an understatement.   At the moment I couldn’t think of anything bad about it even though I got a headache reading through the subtitles that flash almost too quickly sometimes.  So I decided it would be the best time to make a review about it

At first, I was afraid it would bore me with legal terminologies and heavy dramas that could very well be the reason for the total shut down of my somewhat simple brain, but it pleasantly proved me wrong.  I do enjoy watching legal-themed series like “Suits”, which I actually love, but they’re usually in a setting I am quite familiar with since we’ve always been weaned with the western kind.  Somehow, this series was able to explain what the Korean courts and laws are by using simple words and expressions without making the viewers look stupid by having to explain every single detail of their plots to us[hello Elementary].

I didn’t have to work hard to understand the stories but you could never accuse this teleserye of being shallow—actually it’s far from it.  There are tv series that put in a lot of characters, creating a lot of plots and too numerous subplots that sometimes you just get lost in them that eventually the story suffers.  Other series, though, shockingly exist peppered with inconsistent characters and absent plots that you know from the very first episode that you’d much rather forego the rest and put your precious time elsewhere.  How do you tell a story about death and revenge without  the melodramatic actors, clichéd lines, and incessant pouring of tears?  It’s quite impossible, I know, but the writer somehow managed it.  I love that they don’t show the entire scene at once, rather, they make you wait before you can
