Sex Education Korean Drama

'Nevertheless' captured fans' attention for its mature storyline and sexual relationship between its two main characters. Other K-dramas like 'Mr. Queen' have discussions about the wedding night, arousal, and intimacy.

Korean dramas have their own set of rules and guidelines. Due to South Korean culture and society, fans will not often see K-dramas with immense nudity or scandalous sex scenes. Even the kisses are tame and PG-13. There are a few K-dramas that tackle the conversation of sex. This does not mean full-blown R-rated scenes but storylines and characters that openly discuss the topic.

Most Watched K Dramas On Netflix In 2023

Was one of the most talked-about K-dramas of 2020. It was a refreshing and bizarrely entertaining take on a historical romance. In a switcheroo gender-swap story, Jang Bong-hwan (Choi Jin-hyuk) is a renowned chef. He wakes up in the body of Queen Cheorin (Shin Hye-sun) in the Joseon period.

As Cheorin, Bong-hwan must try to pose as a woman and evade King Cheoljong (Kim Jung-hyun) until he can return home. Along the way, Bong-hwan finds himself feeling female emotions and desires. The K-drama tackles sex in various ways that come off as comical.

A fan on Reddit explains, “Can’t forget the gisaeng scenes, the bedroom scenes between the leads, the primitive booty calls, the wet dreams, the lewd (for its time) books, the scenes of Court Lady Choi looking at Joseon-era softcore porn and also just the whole premise of a straight guy being trapped in a woman’s body and another guy is actively trying to bed them.”

Most Addictive Korean Dramas: Crash Landing On You, Descendants Of The Sun And More

, became a hot topic due to its mature storyline. The drama starred Han So-hee and the ‘Son of Netflix’ Song Kang as two art college students. What had fans hooked to the madness of the story was its use of sexual themes.

Yoo Na-bi (Han) breaks up with her boyfriend when she learns he used her as a model for a lewd sculpture in an art gallery. She later meets Park Jae-eon (Song Kang), the school’s infamous playboy. They embark on a romance with no title or strings attached.

The

Openly explores young adult sexual relations and attraction. There is even a conversation of two students getting it on in a classroom. It is one of the rare few K-dramas with slightly more explicit sex scenes.A warm, friendly, considerate person, Hee Jae is surrounded by people who claim to know and love her. The problem for Hee Jae is that she isn’t really sure if she really understands herself. On the other hand, Mi Na is Hee Jae's confident and energetic best friend and colleague at Play Books, a supplier of books and related products centered around sex and romance. While an expert in how to achieve physical pleasure, her understanding falls short on romantic relationships. When they find themselves told to take over hosting a sex and romance advice podcast, the two feel more than a little lost. Having never experienced an orgasm or explored her own sexuality beyond routine, lifeless intercourse with her boyfriend of five years, Hee Jae isn’t the most qualified person to be hosting a sex advice podcast. Trapped in a loveless routine of emotionally detached, no strings attached casual sex, Mi Na is hardly one to ask for advice on committed romantic relationships. With no one else able to take over the program, though, they really don’t have a choice. Suddenly thrust into a world she doesn’t understand, Hee Jae finds herself opening up to new ideas and starts to explore her own body and seek out new experiences. Fed up with cycling through men who only satisfy her body and nothing more, Mi Na, too, desperately wants things to change. Pooling their lifetime of experiences and newfound knowledge, Mi Na and Hee Jae decide to make a major life change by opening a sex counseling service together. Korean Stars With Weird Certifications, From Seo Ye Ji's Sex Education And Balloon Art Qualifications To Mamamoo's Solar Fun And Recreation Leader Titles

When I saw the trailer I wasn't sure if I would like or watch this drama, but I'm so glad I am. The sex scenes are so well placed and tastefully done. The last scene in episode 4 is a MASTER class in the female gaze. I felt like I was watching a truly intimate and life changing moment instead of just a sex scene, if that makes any sense.

The story follows two women, one (Hee Jae) who is waking up from a five year loveless relationship and another (Min Na) who is not chasing love but sex. The two women are charged with hosting a podcast on sex in which they share topics and views with thier audience.

I love the premise, I believe you have to be a person coming out of a long term relationship or a person who has been in a long term relationship to truly empathize and understand how Hee Jae feels when she realizes her relationship has been one-sided and how selfish her partner was. For Min Na, I love the portrayal of a woman taking charge of her sex life and going after what and who she wants in a safe manner. I also like how the author, In Chan, talks about sex in the age of social distancing and how as human beings we long for touch.

Best Korean Dramas On Netflix 2023

As of this writing, I've only watched up to episode 4 but I'm hoping they continue to push the subject of healthy sex between couples and partners and to show that sex isn't anything to be ashamed of.

Let's

Hee Jae chasing In Chan to be FWB (Friends with Benefits) is so adorably cringy. I like the role reversal where the man wants to fall in love and not just have sex. In Chan is genuinely showing Hee Jae that he wants to date her and fall in love not just have sex with her.

Now THIS is one drama that will either turn you into an ahjumma saying omo, omo, omo!!“ every five seconds OR you‘ll save it for lonely nights and giggle yourself to sleep. ;D

Its steaming hot and rated 18+ for a reason, however don’t be too shocked by the very beginning ~ it’s not like that all the way through.

There is actually a story and I really loved the chemistry. The kisses were hands down the best I‘ve ever seen in a kdrama.

There is room for season two and it would definitely improve my rating of this season to a 9.0/10 if it will be continued but it does end positively, so it’s fine this way too.
