Then there’s Yoon Jong Hoon as Yoo Tae Eun. He’s Jung Hoon’s friend and a neurologist that is as nice as can be, but he struggles to live up to his father’s expectations.
I wasn’t originally planning to watch Find Me in Your Memory, but I kept hearing good things about it week after week, so I got curious. And I ended up loving it!
It has all of the ingredients I tend to like in a drama with a romance, a good back story that has lots of effects on the present happenings, a good mix of humor and serious, and some very engaging and emotional character journeys.
K Drama Review:
Jung Hoon and Ha Jin have quite the emotional journey to go on. I found it really interesting how they each suffered from opposite issues concerning their memory with him being able to remember everything and her forgetting a huge chunk of her life, yet it still impacted them in similar ways.
The stage was set nicely for lots of difficult truths from the past to come out in the present. SPOILERS: It seemed so ironic that Jung Hoon was forced to vividly relive his first love dying while Ha Jin was so traumatized by it that she had blocked it out. END OF SPOILERS
And of course, a drama like this just wouldn’t be complete without a stalker in the mix. I quite enjoyed the side of thrills it added to things along with a mystery as to who Ha Jin’s stalker was. Another plus in this case was that the stalker story line was very relevant to the overall plot and was woven in nicely. I thought it was done well and worked as a great way to spice things up.
Find Me In Your Memory” Cast Shares Final Thoughts As Drama Comes To An End
SPOILERS: It was hard to see that same stalker that ruined Jung Hoon’s life by murdering his fiance resurface and cause more heartache for him and Ha Jin. Although small things were beginning to trigger Ha Jin’s blocked out memories, the stalker ultimately brought them all back for her.
Ha Jin had to face some difficult truths, but that also finally allowed her to move through the pain of her past and find healing and acceptance with Jung Hoon. It was great to see. END OF SPOILERS
The romance itself was very well done with steady developments between Jung Hoon and Ha Jin. I loved seeing this couple grow closer and be there for each other. Their relationship was very solid while also having quite a few very sweet moments.
Points To Look Forward To Ahead Of The Second Half Of “find Me In Your Memory”
Kim Dong Wook and Moon Ga Young also had some really fantastic chemistry as well as such a naturalness and ease with each other. Their romance as a whole was very touching.
This drama also features a fantastic sister relationship between Ha Jin and Ha Kyung. This pair was so supportive of each, and I loved seeing their strong bond. Aside from being there for one another, they also had a very fun relationship that brought a lot of smiles. It was very nice to see the connection between these two ladies.
Find Me in Your Memory really was such a nice surprise! I loved the whole feel of the drama with its melancholy atmosphere. It was a romance that had a mixture of melo, humor, and thrills that all came together very nicely. I’m so glad I took a chance on this one and was able to enjoy such a well done story.
