I happened to come across this series last year mid-airing, during a time when it's been a while since the last kdrama that I've watched. And having Choi Jinhyuk as the lead alongside Nana is a plus as well, so no regrets.
It's been a while since the last time I watched any revenge/conspiracy drama since Shark, as well as good law-related drama since Witch at Court so I really have to say that Justice did a good job at reeling my interest in. Not to mention Son Hyunjoo as the main antagonist is a great compliment to Choi Jinhyuk's Taekyung who's not quite free of his own wrong deeds.

The series was sweet, melancholic, haunting, dark and hopeful and as a viewer, you can't help but root on Taekyung as he tried to turn back and recover his sense of justice and right the wrongs that were committed towards him as well as by him. And in a way, the series tells us that sometimes even good people can lose their way. But that doesn't mean that they cannot go back and head back towards the right path.
I’m glad I went through all the episodes and saw the ending. It wasn’t a light journey but it was worth it.
Drama is about crime and corruption in prosecutors, politics and business. But for me the crime plot is an excuse to present the story of touching relationship between friends who had to become enemies. The character of Song Woo Yong (the older friend), brilliant played by Son Hyun Joo, is so well written. He’s intriguing and ambiguous. Is he hardhearted, ambitious man or devoted father?Good or bad? We don’t know for sure.

The stories of the father and son, the prosecutor lady (Nana) and lawyer (Choi Jin Hyuk) are extremely interesting. As well as the story of psychopath villain and his victim. The cinematography is outstanding, the music is sad. The script is perfect.Juvile Justice (Korean: 소년 심판 ) is a 2022 South Korean legal drama streaming television series. Juvile Justice for 2 weeks in a row from February 28 to March 6, and March 7 to March 13, with 45.93 million and 25.94 million viewing hours respectively was at 1st place in Global Top 10 weekly list of the most-watched Netflix TV shows (Non-glish).
Jonathon Wilson of Ready Steady Cut graded the TV series with 3 stars out of 5 and praised the performance of Kim Hye-soo but criticised the screplay. Wilson wrote, Kim Hye-soo delivers a tremdous performance here that the writing doesn’t always support. He criticised the series for lacking clarity of view in protagonist writing, I don’t subscribe to the belief that all TV shows need a “likable” protagonist, but most need a clear point of view. In conclusion Wilson opined, Juvile Justice, like the young offders whose various macabre crimes it chronicles, never realizes its full pottial.
Joel Keller of Decider reviewing the series wrote, Juvile Justice is about as close to an American-style procedural as Netflix or Korean TV gets. We hope we get a little more backstory on the main character, but the cases might just be compelling ough to keep our interest.
