Today, I’m back to share an easy recipe using cabbage and pink radish. But I’d say the highlight of this salad is the sweet and tangy roasted sesame seed dressing. I can just smell the nutty aroma floating in the air already!
Even, my little daughter lovesit! That means a lot since she usually doesn’t like eating raw vegetables. But she keeps asking me to give her more of the salad, so I was very happy about that. 😀
1.Thinly slice the cabbage. Rinse and soak it in cold water for 2 to 3 mins. Drain the water and air dry while preparing the other ingredients.

3. Grind the roasted sesame seeds in a mortar until fine. Mix all the dressingingredients in a bowl. (I used a mix of yellow and black roasted sesame seeds as I ran out of yellow ones. It won’tchange thetaste if you do it differently to mine.)
4. Serve the desired amount of cabbage and radish on a plate and add the dressing on top. Alternatively add all ingredients in a mixing bowl and gently mix them. Serve. Best to consume within 24 hours of making it.

Napa cabbage is oblong in shape, with crisp yet soft crinkly leaves and mild, delicate flavor. Regular cabbage is round with thick, sturdy leaves and a stronger cabbage flavor.
To cut napa cabbage for salad, cut the bottom off, then cut in half lengthwise. You may tear the leaves into large pieces, or place cut side down on the cutting board and cut into shreds.

Stir Fry Cabbage
When it comes to salads, Napa Cabbage is an excellent choice, because unlike green cabbage, it's very easy to chop, it's crunchy, healthy and provides a mighty dose of nutrients.
In addition, Napa Cabbage leaves resemble lettuce and they're so much tender, you don't even need to massage them with a salt.
Make sure to wash Napa Cabbage thoroughly and pat dry with a paper towel. Remove any dry leaves or the ones with the brown spots.
Kimchi (fermented Chilli Cabbage)
Next, place the cabbage on a cutting board and slice in half horizontally. Using a long knife, slice one half of the cabbage across the leaves and stem as thin as possible. Place sliced cabbage in a bowl.
Rinse and pat dry the cucumber, cut it in half and then thinly slice it. Discard the tough end. Also, thinly slice the green onions.
Add sliced cucumber and green onions to a bowl with cabbage. Drizzle with the lime juice and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper and mixed everything well.
Chinese Chicken Salad
In this healthy green salad you can replace Napa Cabbage with a regular green cabbage. Just make sure to massage it for a few minutes with a few pinches of salt. This will soften leaves making them easier to chew.
Also, feel free to add some halved cherry tomatoes or shredded carrot. Toasted Pecans or sliced Almonds will add a nice crunch to the salad as well.

Look no more, this is it. This napa cabbage picnic salad has been a favorite of my friends and neighbors for years. It's one of the most requested potluck salads I've ever made.

Shredded Romaine In A Korean Sesame Vinaigrette
We've scaled the recipe back for a regular family and friends meal, but you can easily scale it up for a large picnic.
Napa cabbage (a kind of Chinese cabbage), while not as sturdy as regular cabbage, is much more resilient than lettuce, so it lends itself well to picnic salads that have to sit around for a while.
The mayo-based salad dressing has Asian-inspired seasonings whisked in, like rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger. The result is a light dressing that flavors every bite of this crunchy salad.
Spicy Korean Coleslaw—quick And Easy Recipe
This recipe is meant to be a side salad for a backyard potluck, but it can also work for a stand-alone lunch. Add some grilled chicken or salmon to make it a full meal.
The dressing recipe makes a little more than you will likely need. So, use about 1/2 of it to start, and add more to taste when you dress the salad.
