Will the tragedy of spring be repeated years later? To escape debt, Lee Su Ho's father escaped to a remote island where his friend had a young daughter Eun Young, who was the same age as Su Ho. After being abandoned by his father, Su Ho sought to leave, but his mind changed after being touched by Eun Young's pure heart. A series of unfortunate events ensue, and Su Ho disappears while Eun Young is sick in the hospital. Years later, while travelling in Austria, Eun Young meets the talented pianist Jae Ha, a man with a cold exterior with a few words, who bears a resemblance to Su Ho. As their love starts to develop, the truth unfolds... Can their love endure the harsh spring tragedy many years ago? Edit Translation
Ok, so I knew about this drama long before I ever decided to watch it. It has it's typical bang my head in the wall moments where someone just barely misses something that would end the drama much quicker. But that is to be expected from a Korean drama. As a much slower paced drama, there may be some people who would find this annoying. I however, find a certain charm in that slower-paced, but never lacking in story, drama.
It doesn't take long before the audience figures out all the truths in the drama but the writing is exception in my opinion. The acting of the cast, especially the main leads, was well worth watching. The kids of the drama, in the first few episodes, also do an amazing job acting out their parts. The filming and ost of the drama are beautiful and touching.

I gave the acting a 9 because the second female lead can sometimes frustrate the viewer with her general lack of common sense/courtesy. Rewatch value is a 6 because it is a slower-paced drama that is amazing the first time around. The second time around you know all that's going to happen and will just skip the irrelevant parts and watch the parts you remember and loved.
If you have time to spare and don't mind a slow-paced drama, Spring Waltz may be just what you're waiting for. It starts out with a lot of flashbacks, but they are vital to set up the story and explain things as they stand and how they came to be. Throughout the drama there may be times when viewers will want to groan in frustration over the characters completely missing a point that would have solved their problems right there. When it comes down to it, though, this is a touching story, one that will make you shed tears when you least expect it.
Coupled with the music, the acting and story is killer, for lack of a better term. Whether you like classical music or not, or enjoy such sad stories, the sweet moments mixed in with personal tragedy will make you laugh and cry when you least expect it. Definitely a drama worth watching.
