I find this question very tricky but I'd say this as something like 나중에 읽어 볼 것 (literally saying 'something to read later')

Korean Age: How To Calculate And Talk About It

@jaediz Yes it means to look. But in this phrase, it comes from this verb + helper verb 읽어보다 (읽다+보다). You can also use as the same 나중에 읽을 것. But by adding '보다' as helper verb, it makes the phrase more relaxed?? which makes this phrase more like something to try reading later rather than something (I must/I better) read later - 나중에 (꼭) 볼 것. I hope this helps and just let me know if you need more help. :-)

This blog post is dedicated to those who would like to study Korean but are put off by the expensive tuition fees and also for working adults that have no time to attend full-time courses , so today, I'm going to share some tips about how I casually self-study Korean language at home LIKE A PRO!

Before I started, just to clarify that I'm not fluent in Korean yet , but by using these methods, I'm at least now able to read and writeKorean, understand the usage of Korean grammars and able to construct and understand some basic Korean sentences. So, are you ready? Let's get started!

Ways To Study Korean

Talk To Me in Korean is the most essential website for those who wanted to self-learn Korean! I basically learned almost all my Korean on this website. It has everything you need to learn to speak Korean. It offers an abundance of free and paid Korean courses including videos and audios to help people to speak Korean. You can always download the PDF notes into your laptop or tablet for revision.

Simple

Actually, I think the free courses are enough for beginners and I've learned a lot from the free courses, but if you wish to learn more, feel free to get the paid courses for more in-depth lessons.

Besides Talk to Me in Korean, there's also an alternative website to learn to speak Korean: How to study Korean. They not only provide lessons but also quizzes and tests on every chapter to test your level of Korean. I'll cover more about Korean test later on at the end of this blog post, so keep on reading :)

Always do your own notes and get as creative as you can! Even though Talk To Me in Korean provides PDF files that you can easily download to your laptop or tablet, but doing your own notes helps to remember the lessons better . It's also easier to refer back to your own notes just in case you've forgotten what you've learned from the previous lessons. Besides, you can also practice writing Korean by doing so . Do it the traditional way and you'll know how great it can be!

As I've mentioned earlier, do it the traditional way. Korean reference books are very good plus points for those who wish to learn Korean because the information is even more complete in books . I got all my Korean reference books from Kinokuniya and a Chinesebookstore in Australia, but I'm sure you can find them in other bookstores in Malaysia as well. Some reference books come with CD so you can listen to it to practice your Korean.

*Alternative way: Get ebooks online! I've got a few e-books online and they're now on my iPad but I forgot which websites that I used to get them from. Try to look it up online. There are plenty of free Korean e-books on the internet waiting for you to download. :)

Yes, listen listen listen! Listen to Korean lesson's CD, listen to Korean dramas and variety shows. Listen to the way they talk, listen to their intonations and practice yours. This is really useful. I tend to listento their conversations and imitate the way they talk to practice my Korean pronunciation.

*Alternative way: Listen to Korean songs! This is more entertaining, isn't it? Bombard yourself with Korean songs every dayand try to memorize the lyrics if you can. I'm sure it'll help with your pronunciation!

It's basically almost the same thing as point 4. Try to observe and listen to the way they converse with each other while enjoying the show. Learning can be fun too, you know? xP

How do you memorize Korean lyrics? In Romanization or in Hangul? If you're still memorizing lyrics in Romanization, then try to memorize it in Hangul next time. Trust me, it helps to pick up Korean language faster and you'll be able to read Korean fluently by doing so.

Every time when there's a Korean song playing in the karaoke, and even though I didn't memorize the lyrics but it's no longer a problem for me because I can sing it out fluently by looking at the Hangul lyrics on the screen.

Don't forget to test your level of Korean after a few Korean lessons. There's quiz at the end of every lesson in How to Study Korean and Talk to me in Korean. You can also test yourself withTopik Online Mock Testor download Topik Test Previous Papers. But the tests in Topik are more advanced so alternatively, you may also look it up online for easy Korean quizzes and tests, most of them provide instant results.
