This drama series was filmed in 2015, it was Jung Il-woo’s first Chinese drama for A TV Channel (not web series) after he signed with Yuehua Entertainment (a Chinese Entertainment Company). Sadly, because of China’s boycott of Korean Entertainment and Products, this drama has yet to air. I hope it airs someday… it’s by Hunan TV.
“Dong Yi, the eldest of three sisters, leads one of China‘s largest catering groups but her family’s past and her romantic entanglement with a Korean man who comes to Beijing in search for answers, threatens to break everything she has built.”
These are images promoting the drama for its Press Conference, they are the best photos. Then there are other photos I found all over the internet. Cr. On them and Hunan TV. After that there are over 100 Behind the Scenes photos taken by many people. So get ready to scroll down and down! It’s so worth it!
One The Woman (tv Series 2021– )
I wanted to place this somewhere here. When I read it, it moved me to tears… this is the translation of the writing of one of the producers and the lead actress of this drama about Jung Il-woo. It was translated by Didi Xiaoyu.
[Beautiful Woman – notes] As a producer, it is a great honor to work with an actor who dedicates to his work. Jung Il Woo’s dedication to this drama exceeded my expectation. I am deeply touched. Ilwoo had joined the cast 5 days before filming started. The first time I talked to him, I felt he was shy and a little anxious, just like a silent royalty, charming but distant. However later, when we were at a bar, I am surprised to find he was cute, like a little boy. When we started filming, he attracted everyone’s attention through his excellent acting skill. I am impressed by multi-faceted Ilwoo oppa. Such a cool guy! His assistant secretly told me Ilwoo is working with 110% energy! Every night he stayed up late and worked on the script with his team. he never complained no matter how early filming started and how little sleep he got the previous night. I asked him, ‘Aren’t you tired?’ He answered, ‘All Korean actors work as hard as this’. Today is the 4th day since filming started. I am sad to see him getting thinner. I tried to persuade him to work less, but he playfully said: “I have to control my diet to be in good shape for the pool scene. And I have to stay up late to work on the script.” Today Ms. Hailu, the female lead, asked for leave to go back to Bai Lu Yuan (another drama she is filming at the same time). She talked about Ilwoo again with me before she left. I don’t know if she was deeply immersed in the previous scene or she was really touched by Ilwoo, tears were gathered in her eyes. She said, ‘Ilwoo, works too hard.’
Looking at many of these Behind the Scenes photos, one can see so many people… Jung Il-woo has an amazing ability to concentrate! Like all the actors. You have to block all the noise and remember your lines… that takes a lot of mental power. In the recent interview he did of Na Moon-hee, they talked about that… about how chaotic it is and how Jung Il-woo enjoys doing historical drama because it’s mentally easier, they are far away form the city so less visitors and he is transported to that time because of all the sets. Add to that the many scenes that take place after dark and it must be really peaceful! I’m glad he did Haechi as his return drama… it has been a good way to ease into acting and all the buzzing around him.

I really pray he takes a break after Haechi is over… eating mom’s delicious meals, and sleeping a full night for a change!
