Nd Quarter Korean Language Level Test Reservation

Club Sup sogui Hosu meets on Saturdays and offers an opportunity for practicing Korean and engaging with peers in a fun and supportive environment, led by an experienced Sup sogui Hosu staff member. Join us for one hour a week for six weeks to experience hands-on activities in Korean such as cooking, crafts, music, and more.

A global outlook is important for success in the domestic and international arena. Concordia Language Villages offers customized corporate, government and military training programs to meet the specific needs of our clients.

Need-based scholarships are available for Korean summer youth immersion sessions through the Passport Fund. Scholarships are based on a family’s adjusted gross income, number of dependents and the length of the session.

Zur is an associate professor in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Stanford University. She started as a counselor at the Korean Language Village in 2000, and over the years she has worked as a Taekwondo instructor, language teacher, lifeguard, business manager and assistant dean. She publishes books and articles on North and South Korean children’s literature, on topics such as science fiction, translations, the Korean War, childhood in cinema, poetry, music and popular culture. Her translations of Korean fiction have appeared in wordwithoutborders.org, The Columbia Anthology of Modern Korean Short Stories and the Asia Literary Review.

She studied teaching Korean as a foreign language in the undergraduate program and now is working as a Korean language program coordinator at Texas Tech University, where she earned her M.A. in Applied Linguistics. Many outstanding international students in and outside Korea have enjoyed learning Korean with her since 2018. She has traveled to 26 countries, learning about each culture and digging into what makes cultures and languages different.
